Kure Spot of Interest

Rantokaku Art Museum takes its name from the Shunran orchid that grew in abundance on Shimokamagari Island.
Constructred with Japanese hinoki cypress, the building encapsulates the beauty of traditional Japanese architecture and design.
As well as exhibiting works by eminent Japanese artists Yokoyama Taikan and Heihachirō Fukuda, the museum collection includes a range of works depicting the beauty of the sea and Japanese pine trees.
From 6:30pm on the third Saturday of each month, a nationally or internationally acclaimed musician performs a concert inside the museum.
Access
Take the Tobishima Liner bus (direction Yutaka, Toyohama, Kamagari) from JR Hiro Ekimae bus stop. The museum is a three-minute walk from Sannose bus stop.
