Kajigahama Camping & Rental Cottages

Kure Hands-on Experience Spot of Interest

Shimo Kamagari is the first island in the Tobishima Kaido island chain you reach after crossing the Akinada Ohashi Bridge. On the southern side of the island is the popular Kajigahama beach with its golden sand and Japanese pine trees. The pristine waters of Kajigahama are considered to be one of the finest in Hiroshima Prefecture. You can experience a slice of traditional Japanese life in the cottages adjacent to the beach. Built in a traditional Japanese architectural style, all the cottages come with a Japanese kamado cooking stove and irori hearth.

The campsite at Kajigahama has an unobstructed view of the sea and can accommodate 17 groups. The site has a parking lot, kitchen, outdoor furnace, toilet, and shower. You can also find a hot spring onsen on the neighboring island of Kami Kamagarijima Island. The Kajigahama campsite is the perfect place to spend some quality time with family or friends.
