The hot spring water rich in chloride contains high quality sodium, which works for 24 types of ailments and disorders, such as neuralgia, post-operation rehabilitation, muscle pains and excessive fatigue. An outdoor bath and sauna are available, too.
The facility also has a restaurant and a shop which sell local products.
Near the hot spring there is Nagato Shipbuilding History Museum, which explains the history of shipbuilding on Kurahashi Island and a replica of a restored Kentoshi ship (ship used to take Japanese envoys to Tang Dynasty, China more than 1,200 years ago).
