On the summit of Mt. Mitakayama, you can see remains of an impressive 198,000㎡Meiji era (1968-1912) gun battery. The refreshing walk up to the summit takes you through some pristine woodland with over 90 varieties of flowering trees growing along the footpath that change with the seasons.

Take in the impressive view of the Seto Inland Sea from the top of Mt. Mitakayama. The view is especially striking during sunset, when the whole of the Seto Inland Sea is blanketed in bright, warm hues.
