Saka Town Fishery Cooperative Fresh Morning Market

Saka Food

This is a morning market where fishermen directly sell fish and seafood caught near Hiroshima Bay.

In front of the Saka Town Fishery Cooperative, overlooking the Hiroshima Bay Bridge, the shop offers a variety of seasonal seafoods including red sea bream, black sea bream, horned turban, and sword-tip squid. There is also a delicatessen section that sells handmade dishes where tai-meshi (sea bream rice), tempura, and homemade shiokara (salted fish guts) are popular. Numbered tickets are distributed from 7:00 AM on the first and third Saturdays of each month, and every five groups of customers can enter the shop from 8:30 AM. Please come early as the shop closes once items are sold out.
