The museum has an informative exhibition through which we can learn the 180-year history of brush making and its related culture. Special exhibitions which feature calligraphy and paintings are held, too.
Visitors have an opportunity to observe licensed craftsmen making brushes and can also try making a calligraphy brush for 3,500 yen. If you book the hands–on experience one week in advance, your name will be engraved on the brush.
At the museum shop, carefully chosen brushes for calligraphy, painting and make-up are on sale. These are perfect for souvenirs.
